Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum business programme architecture released

The official website for the Third Russia–Africa Summit and other Russia–Africa events has been updated to include an outline of the business programme for the Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum, which will take place in Moscow on 28–29 October 2026. The event aims to consolidate the steady momentum of the multifaceted Russia–Africa partnership and identify promising areas for development in the coming years.

“Russia and Africa are building a new architecture of cooperation, steadily developing their interaction. The 2019 and 2023 summits marked a key stage in the strengthening of Russia’s relations with the countries of Africa. The main theme of this year’s Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum is ‘Developing Mutually Beneficial Cooperation and Realizing the Potential of All African Countries Together’, and it is fully in line with modern challenges. The Forum’s business programme will address the most pressing issues of national development, and the event itself – its third instalment – will again serve as a venue not merely for reaching agreements, but for adopting practical solutions,” noted Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the Third Russia–Africa Summit and other Russia–Africa Events Anton Kobyakov.

The business programme of the Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum will be structured around four tracks: ‘Sovereignty – The Foundation of Sustainable Development’, ‘The Economy of a Sovereign World Order’, ‘Social and Humanitarian Cooperation and Human Capital’, and ‘Technologies and Innovations for Improving Quality of Life’. Panel sessions and thematic events will address key issues of cooperation between Russia and African countries, including in trade, investment, industry, technology, transfer, food and energy security, digitalization, healthcare, educations, science, media, and youth exchanges.

The programme will again include the Russia–Africa Media Forum, which will feature the heads of news agencies and media corporations from African countries. Here, they will discuss the global impact of media from the global majority nations and the emergence of independent media in Africa, outline the prospects for developing media resources as tools for combatting disinformation and strengthening the positive images of Russia and Africa, and address the decolonialization of media content – a key element of information security.

Youth programme events will be held at MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The business programme architecture is available on the official website: summitafrica.ru.

“We highly value the results of our joint work at the summit. I am sure the achieved results are creating a good foundation for further deepening the Russia-Africa partnership in the interests of our nations’ prosperity and wellbeing.”
