Gala concert held as part of Second Russia–Africa Ministerial Conference
A gala concert featuring Egyptian and Russian artists was held in the run-up to the start of the Second Russia–Africa Ministerial Conference. The concert included performances by the Egyptian National Troupe, as well as The Nikolai Kubar State Concert Ensemble of Dance and Song and the St. Petersburg group Bis-Quit Band, a one-of-a-kind band that combines classic rock, folk music, and sophisticated jazz all into a single sound. The audience enjoyed such well-known dance melodies as ‘Cossack Dance,’ ‘Kuban Lady,’ and ‘Kalinka-Malinka,’ as well as ‘Valenki’ and ‘Flight of the Bumblebee’ by Bis-Quit Band.
Russia and Egypt have built up a wealth of experience in their successful cooperation over the years, proving that common goals can unite nations better than any obstacles. The Second Russia–Africa Ministerial Conference in Cairo will provide an impetus for the implementation of promising plans, strengthen the positions of Russian and Egyptian businesses on the global market, and ensure they make a shared contribution to the prosperity of the people from both countries.
The concert, which featured performances by Egyptian and Russian artists, served as further proof of the friendship and mutual understanding between Russia and Egypt, as well as all the countries of the African continent.
The Second Russia–Africa Ministerial Conference was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The Paradigm Group was organizing the event on the Egyptian side. The Roscongress Foundation was managing the Conference on the Russian side.
